This controller supports both simple and advanced modes. In simple mode, it enables basic functions like batch control through relay outputs, an external counter, and alarms for missing signals, while also providing a 4 to 20 mA output to show batch status. Switching to advanced mode, users gain access to more nuanced controls such as an end-of-batch pulse, a two-stage shutdown, and alarms for conditions like overrun, high flow, or volume limits, enhancing precision in batch management.

The 9900-1BC is versatile, capable of storing up to 10 different batch recipes, which can be crucial for operations requiring frequent changes in batch sizes or types. Batch names can be customized for clear identification, making management straightforward. Users can apply a universal K-Factor across all batches or opt for specific K-Factors for each batch, supporting applications involving a variety of liquids.

For added security, the system prompts users before starting a batch, either with a simple confirmation or a password entry, preventing accidental batch initiations. Operable on a 10.8 to 35.2 VDC power supply, the controller also supports integration with external devices like remote start or stop switches, further automating or controlling the batch process. The end-of-batch pulse can be utilized to seamlessly trigger subsequent steps in a manufacturing line, illustrating its compatibility with broader process automation strategies.
